Capita launches new white paper: 'What every university librarian needs to know about enhancing the student experience'
Students want more from their university library, especially as they are paying more for their degrees. They want greater flexibility in opening times, in finding and accessing resources and in using the working space effectively. This white paper examines how technology can help to meet these increasing expectations and ensure that libraries are ready to meet the demands of today’s student consumer.
Autumn sees the arrival of a new intake of students, made up of individuals who are contributing more than ever towards the cost of their degree and therefore have higher than ever expectations. With university libraries central to the student experience, some of some of the key questions university libraries are currently asking themselves are:
• How can we deliver without a significant increase in funding?
• How can we improve our rating in the national student survey?
• What do these new students expect?
This just-launched white paper from Capita seeks to address these questions and more, looking at how technology can help university libraries deliver a great student experience.
“It is a challenging job – technology has to be there as a tool for the best maximisation of resources.”
