Timetabling and attendance
UNIT-e from Capita Further and Higher Education is the ideal tool for timetabling and recording learner attendance at non-workplace-based teaching, for example day release and classroom-based training.

UNIT-e Resource Manager is the essential tool for the successful management of all college learning activities. Flexible and integrated with UNIT-e Student Records and Tracking System (SRTS), it displays all timetabled activities at the core of learning, linking staff, location and module. It can allocate multiple staff members, various locations or even numerous modules to the specified activity. In contrast, only one element of the mix can be allocated, effectively blocking out a staff member or location for that activity.

“Patterns” allow users to set-up consecutive activities and “views” can check schedules for individual staff and students or activities for any given day.

Examinations
UNIT-e provides functionality to register learners with all major awarding bodies including those offering NVQ qualifications. In addition to the provision of electronic data transfers, the solution enables timetable management of subjects studied and exam papers being sat.

With UNIT-e Exams Manager organisations can manage all data and processes relating to course submissions and exam entries. The application is fully integrated with Capita FHE’s SRTS solution reducing the replication of data, aiding more flexibility for business processes and reporting. Users can pre-build return reports and develop bespoke reports for use with specialist awarding bodies.

Efficiencies are further achieved through streamlined electronic communications with awarding bodies, as well as integration with external software. Data can be easily imported and exported to external systems such as awarding and exam boards.
