UNIT-e Attendance Grid can generate registers based on your curriculum, resources or even as an ad hoc event. Users can update attendance online via intuitive and functionality rich interface.
The user interface is designed to be familiar to the user and intuitive for ease of use. Fully integrated with Capita FHE’s UNIT-e Student Records and Tracking System it reduces replication of data and eliminates data entry, resulting in increased speed and accuracy of information captured. Attendance Grid can easily manage attendance-related issues such as withdrawn students, staff and room cover, and with adding strangers to registers. This application is deployed by using the web, therefore removing the need for local installs and eliminating disruption to the operations and management of timetabling and registers.
Attendance Manager
Seamlessly integrated with management information systems, Attendance Manager from Capita FHE’s UNIT-e tracks students by monitoring and managing attendance. This register function generates registers based on curriculum and resource information or as an ad-hoc rapid creation.
There are a number of different deployment and mark capture techniques available to users; these are Capture Technologies, Reporting and Attendance Manager Online. Hand-held and web-based technologies allow lecturers to record attendance in real-time directly from the teaching room. Reports available can detail student attendance analysis, percentage analysis based on sessions and hours with aggregation at many different levels. Reports and details are also available to be devolved online to lecturers in teaching rooms for precise and up-to-date information. All information recorded in Attendance Manager can be easily submitted to Connexions for external reporting on individual students.
Online Day View and Room Booking
This online application allows management, administration and teaching staff to view activities taking place within their organisation and to book rooms.
Day View presents timetabled classes, examinations, interviews and other meetings for a selected day. Room Booking functionality enables the user to find an available room and subsequently book rooms for meetings, interviews and other occasions.
The Online Day View and Room Booking application is an invaluable resource to support the college Reception and Student Services teams who wish to view resource availability. It allows users to access the system from any online computer on site to locate staff and students rapidly with minimal disruption, locate exam rooms for a specific day and identify available resources for immediate bookings. This application is, of course, fully integrated with the UNIT-e system providing users with security and reliability of data.
Resource Manager
UNIT-e Resource Manager is the essential tool for the successful management of all college learning activities. Flexible and integrated with UNIT-e Student Records and Tracking System, it displays all timetabled activities at the core of learning, linking staff, location and module. It can allocate multiple staff members, various locations or even numerous modules to the specified activity. In contrast, only one element of the mix can be allocated, effectively blocking out a staff member or location for that activity.
“Patterns” allow users to set-up consecutive activities and “views” can check schedules for individual staff and students or activities for any given day.
