UNIT-e Tools for Reporting works with Microsoft functionalities to provide an infrastructure to deliver high volumes of interactive, user-defined reports through a browser. UNIT-e Tools for Reporting Services exposes the data held in the UNIT-e system (including external tables) to reporting services without the need to recreate relationships, pick-list descriptions or masks and filters. Report designers can simply drag and drop fields from UNIT-e onto the form, labelled using the terminology they already understand. Reports can then be saved and published.
Working together, Capita FHE’s UNIT-e and Microsoft Reporting Services offer a powerful web-based reporting solution. Once built, reports can be:
- accessed via a browser
- linked together to allow drill-through
- embedded in SharePoint
- linked to existing web-based applications such as Columbus
- distributed via email.
