Gold Award
This recognises expertise and innovation in a particular functional area of UNIT-e such as Attendance, Online Services or Information Interface.
In addition to the recognition of their achievements and a closer relationship with Capita plc, Gold Sites of Excellence will receive:
- Certificate presented at the Capita Further and Higher Education Annual Conference
- One day training credit awarded for hosted reference site visits (to be used for Capita plc delivered courses).
Criteria for Gold Award
- Demonstrate the ability to follow best practice in qualifying functional areas as advised by Capita FHE
- System must be open to audit by Capita FHE and regularly reported on to maintain integrity in use and expertise
- Qualified functional areas must be owned by members of college staff, who need to be trained through Capita FHE’s Professional Services and be able to demonstrate competence in the relevant functional areas
- Be available to host a reference site visit.
Platinum Award
Recognises institutions who hold Gold Award status in three or more functional areas of expertise and who use the UNIT-e SRTS suite across the organisation. Institutions should demonstrate creative and innovative use of the software in ways that enhance the student or staff experience and improve the management of the organisation.
In addition to the elements received as part of the Gold Award, Platinum sites receive:
- Free maintenance on new software developments for the first six months after product release (following purchase of recommended services)
- A 10% discount against standard day rates for training/consultancy to support any new purchase.
Criteria for Platinum sites
Demonstrate that multiple functional areas have been developed beyond standard UNIT-e
Show that the development of functional areas has benefited the institution with increased efficiency, financial benefit and improved user experience for both staff and students
Contribute to user groups, conferences and mentoring other UNIT-e users.
Development Partner
Development Partner status is by Capita FHE invitation only and recognises Platinum Award holders who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the development and ongoing implementation of UNIT-e SRTS. Development Partners will show a willingness to mentor other client sites and act as pilot users for new UNIT-e products.
In addition to the benefits received as part of the Platinum Award, Development Partners will receive automatic membership of UNIT-e SRTS strategy groups.
Criteria for Development sites
- Must be an existing Platinum site for at least two years
- Willingness to build a relationship with Capita plc and other institutions with the aim of improving the UNIT-e product and experience.
